A third-generation Oklahoman, Jeremy was born… fittingly… on Oklahoma’s out 74th birthday, November 16th, 1981 in Oklahoma City. Jeremy has been singing all his life and came from a family deep in faith. From the fall of ’92 to the spring of ’94, Jeremy was a member of the VUMC Youth Group and fondly recalls watching the 1993 Super Bowl in the Youth Room as well as being a member of the church’s Scout Troop.
Later going through Confirmation as part of the Youth of Sunny Lane UMC during fall of his Senior year of High School, Jeremy went on to graduate from Del City High School in May of 2000. After a year in St. Louis, MO at then Missouri Baptist College (now University) and a summer of service in Ft. Collins, CO with Campus Crusade for Christ, he returned home and attended American Broadcasting School before entering the workforce. He would later serve as an Officer of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for several years before beginning a near decade of work in the private sector running various security firms and serving as Security Chairman of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon since 2005.
Just over four months before the birth of his oldest daughter, Savanna, Jeremy entered the Adult Studies program of Southwestern Christian University as a Business Leadership major. In December of 2015, he completed his Associate of Arts and in May of 2017, became a first-generation college graduate, completing a Bacholers of Science degree Magna Cum Laude (with High Honors) with a minor in Religious Studies. This fall, he will continue his studies as a Graduate Student of the University of Oklahoma’s Class of 2020.
Jeremy has a wide background in working with youth including serving as both a Cadet Programs Officer (’99-’00 & ’07-’08) and the Deputy Commander for Cadets of the Civil Air Patrol’s Flying Castle Composite Squadron (’08-’09), Assistant Defensive Coach (Life Christian Academy ’09), Special Assistant to the Head Coach (Tulsa NOAH Jaguars, four-time National Homeschool Football Champions), and current Director of the National Homeschool Football Championship Series. He also has several years as a youth group volunteer and sponsor.
A proud single father of two amazing little girls, Savanna (4) & Madison (3), who are the lights of his life, Jeremy looks forward to new and exciting things ahead for our youth!
